Nassar et al. (2020). showed that DECR1 played a vital role in protecting PCa cells from ferroptosis by regulating polyunsaturated fatty acids oxidation. BCR is considered as a key event after radical treatment of PCa (Xu et al., 2016). Despite curative treatment, there were 20–40% of PCa patients experiencing BCR with 10 years; and BCR signified recurrent PCa. (Artibani et al., 2018). Although BCR alone might have no impact on quality of life or overall survival (Wei et al., 2019), BCR indicated the high probability of the onset of metastatic disease (Malik et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene DECR1 and posterior cortical atrophy.
