Treatments with ACE1 inhibitor (−34.8 ± 2.0, p < 0.05) or ACE2 activator (−32.5 ± 1.5 mmHg, p < 0.05) in HEM rats significantly attenuated the Hex-induced reduction in BP, but treatment with the ERS blocker in HEM rats did not alter it (−59.7 ± 2.6 mmHg, p > 0.05) (two-way ANOVA for changes in BP, F(6, 30) = 27.66, p < 0.0001). Here, ACE2 is linked to Greenberg dysplasia.
