In the present study, by comparing the proteome of the BS control to that of the HCl-induced BSGs using a 2DE-based proteomic approach, we identified five upregulated proteins in the HCl-induced BSGs including succinate-CoA ligase subunit beta, 30S ribosomal protein S4, ATP synthase subunit gamma, glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase/oxidase, and branched-chain alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase subunit E2. This evidence concerns the gene SUCLA2 and Bloom syndrome.
