CAMK2A and epilepsy: A rare variant of GRIN2A associated with epilepsy disrupts CaMKIIα phosphorylation of GluN2A and NMDAR trafficking, which demonstrates a role of GluN2A for CaMKIIα phosphorylation in receptor targeting and suggests that the defects of NMDAR trafficking are related to epilepsy (Mota Vieira et al., 2020).
