CXCR4 and lung carcinoma: Based on TCGA database, the data from human clinical sample surveys showed a general trend that CXCR4 was increased in lung cancer tumor tissues compared to paratumor normal tissues (Fig. 5N) while patients with lower CXCR4 expression tended to have better overall survival in the first 100 months after diagnosis of lung cancer (Fig. 5O), although a statistical significance was not reached (p = 0.2).
