We found that the up-regulation of CXCL12 induced by MM cells was reverted by exposition to the CX43 inhibitor (p < 0.01 and p < 0.001 for HS-5 and U266 and HS-5 and NCI-H929 cocultures treated with IO, versus control cocultures respectively; Fig. 3A), thereby indicating that CX43 activated by PCs regulates CXCL12 production in MSCs.
