Besides the above cancers, ALKBH5 is also correlated with poor prognosis and/or plays an oncogenic role in other malignancies, including endometrial cancer [103, 104], renal cell carcinoma [105], hepatitis B virus (HBV) related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) [106], osteosarcoma [107], uveal melanoma [108], pituitary adenomas [109], esophageal squamous cell carcinoma [110], cervical cancer [111] and oral squamous cell carcinoma [112]. This evidence concerns the gene ALKBH5 and pituitary gland adenoma.
