CORO6 and CRIP1 were barely detected in the plasma from colorectal cancer (CRC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients (3.9%, 9 of 229 for CRC and 9.5%, 4 of 42 for HCC), suggesting that these two markers were not hypermethylated in cancers (Additional file 1: Fig. S1 and Additional file 4: Table S3). The gene discussed is CRIP1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
