Exosomes extracted from multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells and artificially enriched in miRNAs from the miR-17-92 cluster, increased oligodendrogliogenesis, neurogenesis, neurite remodeling, and neuronal dendrite plasticity in the ischemic boundary zone after stroke, possibly by activating the PI3K/protein kinase B/mechanistic target of rapamycin/glycogen synthase kinase 3β signaling pathway (Xin et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and Stroke.
