Moreover, since the extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) for RCC was determined through the Seahorse XF24e® Extracellular Flux Analyzer, basal glycolysis, maximal glycolytic capacity and glycolytic reserve of ACHN and A498 cells were found to be restrained after transfection of PFKFB3 shRNA (Fig. 3e-g), which insinuated that glycolytic potency of RCC cells might be attenuated by PFKFB3 shRNA.
