TRPM4 mRNA was reduced by 50–75% with siRNA treatment in two prostate cancer cell lines (DU145 and LNCaP) [144], and 75% reduction in mRNA and approximately 50% reduction in TRPM4 protein was achieved in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) [145] and leukemia cell lines with the MLL gene rearrangement [146].
