As a result of our study we can draw the following conclusions: high expression levels of miRNA-190b in breast tumor tissue indicate a positive ER status; the assessment of miR-21, miR-423, and miR-200b levels could be used to confirm the amplification of HER2; and the levels of miR-190a (in ER+ and/or PR+ BC with Ki-67 < 14%), miR-193b (in luminal B HER2-amplified), and miR-423 (in luminal A, luminal B HER2 1+, and luminal B HER2-amplified tumors) can potentially be used as markers to predict the absence or presence of metastases in the lymph nodes. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is breast neoplasm.
