In the study by Leav et al. [108], TRAP1 has been shown to be highly expressed in prostate cancer (in human high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia, Gleason grades 3–5 prostatic adenocarcinomas and metastatic prostate cancer), but undetectable in healthy prostate or benign prostate hyperplasia. This evidence concerns the gene TRAP1 and prostate cancer.
