Two other studies indicated that circNRIP1 acts as a miRNA sponge: in the miR-182/ROCK1 axis by modulating migration, invasion, cell cycle progression and apoptosis of gastric cancer cells [29]; and in the miR-186-5p/MYH9 axis by modulating proliferation, migration, glycolysis and apoptosis in vitro, and tumor volume and weight in vivo [45].
