When individuals with the A allele of rs1800449 polymorphism of LOX gene were compared to those with the referent G allele, the odds ratio was 1.866 (95% Confidence Interval 1.112–3.16), which was found to be statistically significant (p value = 0.017), pointing towards the fact that A allele of rs1800449 polymorphism of LOX gene was significantly associated with risk of ovarian cancer (Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene LOX and ovarian carcinoma.
