The study showed that for discriminating IBD from IBS, fecal BAFF ≥ 227.3  pg/mL yielded 84% sensitivity and 100% specificity, calprotectin ≥ 50  μg/g yielded 76% sensitivity and 93% specificity whereas FOBT yielded 65% sensitivity and 93% specificity.
