INPP5A and skin squamous cell carcinoma: Loss of inositol polyphosphate-5-phosphatase (INPP5A) was also found to play an important role into risk of metastatic progression of primary CSCC (hazard ratio: 4.71) and to predict poor survival of recurrent and metastatic CSCC, with an overall survival of 31.0 months for patients with low expression of INPP5A as compared with 62.0 months for high-expression cases [26,27].
