NFE2L2 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: Curcumin could also increase Nrf2 levels in nuclei of liver cells, indicating that this substance has a potential effect in the prevention and amelioration of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis through a reduction in lipid levels and inflammatory responses, improvement of insulin resistance, and enhancement of antioxidants, possibly through induction of Nrf2 [11].
