PPARG and Hepatic fibrosis: The administration of PPARγ agonist 15dPGJ2 in cultured activated HSC reduced collagen synthesis, whereas the co-administration of PPARγ agonist 15dPGJ2 with the PPARγ antagonist GW9662 abrogated 70% of the collagen reduction obtained by the agonist alone, showing the potential therapeutic effect of PPARγ ligands in the treatment of liver fibrosis [70].
