There was a significant increase in the percentage of CD69+CD4+ T cells in DILI patients compared to NAFLD patients (for F ≤ 1 group: 0.97 ± 0.27 vs. 0.36 ± 0.08, p = 0.011; and for F ≥ 2 group: 0.97 ± 0.27 vs. 0.50 ± 0.10 p = 0.007) and healthy controls (0.97 ± 0.27 vs. 0.67 ± 0.11, p = 0.045) (Figure 3). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
