In the ES MDS phase, we observed a marked decrease in GSSG levels (p < 0.01) with an inversion of the GSSG·GSH−1 ratio (p < 0.001) compared to controls (Figure 3A), a significant increase in CAT activity (p < 0.05) (Figure 3C), and a decrease in LPO and AOPP levels (p < 0.001, p < 0.05; respectively) (Figure 3D,E). Here, LPO is linked to myelodysplastic syndrome.
