Through its deubiquitinase activity, HAUSP has been reported to control the activity of several oncogenic transcription factors, including NOTCH1 in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia [19,20], N-Myc in neuroblastoma [16], β-catenin in colorectal cancer [21], and NEK2 in multiple myeloma [22], indicating that HAUSP has an oncogenic role in cancer.
