The down-regulated genes doublecortin (DCX; Log2FC −1.8, FDR 0.0032), and semaphorin 6B (SEMA6B) (Log2FC -3.1, FDR 0.0107), and upregulated gene hairy and enhancer of split (HES) and HES related with YRPW motif protein 2 (HEY2; log2FC 1.4, FDR 0.0489) are responsible for upstream inhibition of ASCL1 and, in turn, ovarian cancer (Figure 8 and Supplementary Table S7). This evidence concerns the gene HEY2 and ovarian carcinoma.
