By combining the relevant serum traits (i.e., liver enzymes, lipids [triglycerides, cholesterol], diabetes-related traits [HbA1c, T2D status], age, sex, waist circumference, and BMI), our imputed NAFLDS achieved a high accuracy on NAFLD (AUC = 0.89) and outperformed the existing FLI17 index, HSI26 index, and the key liver enzymes, ALT and GGT (Figure 1).
