However, several AS events are recurrent and affect more than half of TCGA patients, affecting UBAP2L, a ubiquitin-associated protein up-regulated in breast tumors and implicated in breast cancer cell cycle control (46); GPBP1, a GC-rich promoter-binding protein previously implicated in resistance to cisplatin and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitors in ovarian cancer (45); and CCDC120, an interaction partner of the ADP-ribosylation factor 6 that is associated with breast cancer cell invasion (47).
