We have recently identified two SNPs, rs77559646 (NC_000002.12:g.241195850G > A, NP_001001666.2:p.Arg 104His) and rs148609049 (NC_000002.12:g.241188699C > T), in ANO7 [TMEM16G, NGEP (New Gene Expressed in Prostate), D-TMPP (Dresden-transmembrane protein of the prostate)] that are associated with an increased risk for aggressive prostate cancer (8). This evidence concerns the gene ANO7 and Familial prostate cancer.
