Median cIMTMEAN was 430.8 μm (399.6–463.8) [males: 445.8 μm (401.3–477.9), females: 416.7 μm (397.1–444.2); univariable p = 0.091] As primary outcome parameter, cIMTMEAN was significantly higher in subjects with allergic asthma compared to those without (430.8 vs. 411.7 μm; univariable p = 0.004) and this association remained significant (multivariable p = 0.026, adjusted R2 = 0.12) after adjustment for established CVRF including age, sex, size, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, physical activity, cigarette pack years, LDL-C, ALT, and CRP (Table 2). Here, CRP is linked to allergic asthma.
