All stroke subtypes (LAS, CES, SVO, bleed) demonstrated significantly higher total GPVI (Fig 4A, P <0.0001) and GPVI-dimer expression (Fig 4B, P <0.0001) as well as P-selectin exposure (Fig 4C, P <0.0001), compared to the controls, suggesting that patients with all stroke sub-types have more activated circulating platelets and higher GPVI expression.
