Considering that LGALS3BP can augmented PI3K/Akt and ERK signaling pathways [12] and p-AKT, p-ERK1/2, p-STAT3 levels are markedly higher in MTX-resistant choriocarcinoma cells than in parental MTX-sensitive cell [7], it is reasonable to speculate that LGALS3BP may promote MTX resistance by PI3K/Akt and ERK signaling pathways.
