In some cancer types, such as cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), all of NF-κB transcription factors were upregulated, while in some cancer types, such as colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), different NF-κB transcription factors showed contradictory expression. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and cutaneous melanoma.
