Aloin has been shown to have important protective effects on the skeletal system, including ameliorating the progression of osteoarthritis, promoting the expression levels of osteoblast differentiation genes (BMP2 and RUNX2) in a dose-dependent manner, and suppressing osteoclastogenesis and bone resorption in previous studies [38, 41–43].
