SP1 and lung carcinoma: Interestingly, in younger patients with late-stage lung cancer, a low Sp1 level was significantly associated with a poor prognosis in women (HR = 9.615) but not in men (HR = 1.493) with late-stage lung cancer, suggesting that premenopausal status, late-stage lung cancer, and low Sp1 expression are highly correlated with a poor prognosis (Fig. 2, lower panel).
