BCG-nanocage induce broad-spectrum immune responses of anti-TB protective T-cell subsets, including Th1/Th1-like cells, CD8+ cytotoxic cells, as well as Vγ2Vδ2 T cells, and such broad immune response induced by BCG-Nanocage immunization are associated with effective immune protection against Mtb infection and TB pathology in Mtb-infected nonhuman primates. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and tuberculosis.
