Patients who have the BRAF V600E mutation and increased lysyl oxidase levels generally have a higher TC recurrence rate and shorter disease‐free survival time; lysyl oxidase expression is partially driven by BRAF mutation and significantly associated with the percentage of BRAF‐mutated cells, and increased lysyl oxidase levels play a key role in the higher aggressiveness of BRAF‐driven thyroid cancers.65 This evidence concerns the gene BRAF and thyroid cancer.
