Furthermore, PAX2, CCND1, MYC, NEDD4, and CXCL5 expressions in the serum of 31 healthy subjects and 59 HCC patients were detected using RT-qPCR, and they were found to be noticeably increased in the serum of HCC patients relative to those in normal subjects, among which PAX2 exhibited the most significant expression difference (Figure 4(h)).
