We first evaluated gene expression in the amygdala, including mRNA (see Fig. 6a) and protein levels (see Fig. 6b, c, Supplementary Fig 1e), and found that maternal diabetes (STZ/P-VEH) significantly decreased the expression of RORA, CYP19A1, and SOD2 compared to the control (CTL/WT) group. The gene discussed is CYP19A1; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
