Finally, we evaluated the potential effect of hyperglycemia and RORA expression on oxidative stress, and the results showed that transient hyperglycemia HG(4d)+LG(4d)/CTL treatment significantly increased ROS formation (see Fig. 1f) and 3-nitrotyrosine formation (see Fig. 1g) compared to the control (LG(4d)+LG(4d)/CTL) group, and RORA expression (HG(4d)+LG(4d)/↑RORA completely reversed, while RORA knockdown (LG(4d)+LG(4d)/shRORA mimicked the transient hyperglycemia-mediated effect.
