By regulating multiple important cellular signaling pathways including β-catenin, TGF-β, etc., CD44 is known to promote tumorigenesis and EMT.35, 36, 37 Upregulation of CD44 facilitates EMT-phenotypic change at acquisition of resistance to EGFR kinase inhibitors in lung cancer 38 Our data demonstrate that downregulation of SNX5 decreased the expression of E-cadherin, ZO-1, and Claudin-1 and was accompanied by increased expression of N -cadherin and Snail. This evidence concerns the gene SNX5 and lung cancer.
