When including our HCC cohort and HCC cell line datasets (figure 1E, F), we noticed that a cluster consisting of genes encoding for Early growth response protein 1 (EGR1), Glioma pathogenesis-related protein 1 (GLIPR1) and Cysteine-rich angiogenic inducer 61 (CYR61) were frequently lower expressed than their corresponding non-carcinogenic controls (figure 5I). This evidence concerns the gene GLIPR1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
