As expected, warfarin treatment abolished the previously observed increase in AXL activation (pAXL) in cancer cells in the gemcitabine treated cohort (figure 6G, H) and cancer cell proliferation (Ki67+) rates were reduced (online supplemental figure S7A, B), while neutrophil numbers remained unchanged (online supplemental figure S7C, D). The gene discussed is AXL; the disease is cancer.
