Interestingly, in hepatocellular carcinoma, 9 out of 27 samples showed higher tumour expression of BTNL2 compared to matched para-cancerous tissue (no. 1, 14, 15, 18, 19, 22, 24, 25 and 26), while 10 samples (no. 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 16, 17, 20) showed lower expression of BTNL2 in tumour compared to para-cancerous tissue. This evidence concerns the gene BTNL2 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
