We have found that several oncogenes are downregulated such as Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) B, AGR2 that is associated with tumour growth and metastasis [34, 35], CXCL8, which drives angiogenesis and metastasis in several cancers including also PCa [36] and LOX (Lysyl oxidase), which is highly expressed in invasive tumours, and closely associated with metastases and poor patient clinical outcome [37] (Fig. 5D). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and posterior cortical atrophy.
