SRRM1 and prostate carcinoma: The EJC serves as an anchor in splicing for various processing proteins (Le Hir et al., 2001) and the peripheral EJC component SRRM1, containing more than 20 SPSs, has been demonstrated that its phosphorylation status influences splice-site selection (Cheng and Sharp, 2006) and SRRM1 overexpression has been associated with the aggressiveness of prostate cancer (Jiménez-Vacas et al., 2020).
