Furthermore, using the Prostate Adenocarcinoma (PRAD) TCGA dataset, we found that THEM6 expression strongly correlated with the expression of several enzymes involved in the late steps (SQLE, LSS, DHCR7 and DHCR24, Fig 4H), but not in the early steps (mevalonate pathway, Fig EV4D), of sterol biosynthesis, suggesting that THEM6 also contributes to this pathway in PCa patients. This evidence concerns the gene THEM6 and prostate adenocarcinoma.
