IRF9 and cervical carcinoma: The role of NF90 in establishing a type I IFN program upon dsRNA stimulation was described by Watson and colleagues in cervical cancer cells40; the authors found that NF90 modulated gene expression programs after dsRNA stimulation, and observed that IRF1 was less induced when NF90 levels were low40, in line with what we observed for IRF3 and IRF9.
