Additionally, to further investigate drug-inducible biotinylation in diverse cell lines, we selected two stable cell lines expressing AirID-CRBN: (1) HuH7 (hepatocellular carcinoma) cells because it expresses SALL4, which is a known neo-substrate involved in thalidomide teratogenicity;9–11 and (2) IMR32 (neuroblastoma) cells because CRBN also functions in neuronal cells33. The gene discussed is CRBN; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
