Laboratory investigation on presentation revealed leukocytosis (WBC 21 K/microliter), markedly elevated inflammatory markers (C-reactive protein (CRP) (23 mg/dl), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) (79 mm/h), fibrinogen (840 mg/dl), von Willebrand factor 289% (normal 60-160%), and hypoalbuminemia. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and Hypoalbuminemia.
