The prevalence of the main vascular risk factors in patients with MPD, such as arterial hypertension, carotid atherosclerosis, venous thrombosis, diabetes mellitus type 2, myocardial infarction, stroke, presence of the JAK2 V617F mutation, antiplatelet therapy status (acetylsalicylic acid) and frequency of headaches, is presented in Table 1. The gene discussed is JAK2; the disease is myeloproliferative disorder.
