ASBT inhibitors have so far primarily been studied for the treatment of bile acid-related pathologies such as chronic constipation and pruritus in primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and genetic cholestatic liver diseases [97], but we have screened the literature specifically for data that may help to shed light on how ASBT inhibitors impact plasma lipid levels.
