Next, to test whether PGM3 suppression impacts glycosylation in KL co-mutant cells more effectively than in K mutant cells, we used three isogenic pairs of NSCLC cells (two KL co-mutant cell lines (H460, H2122) and one K cell line (H1373)), silenced PGM3 (Figure 2B), and probed the overall number of glycosylated proteins by using wheat germ agglutinin (WGA), a lectin that binds GlcNAc moieties. The gene discussed is PGM3; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
