SOD1 and Alzheimer disease: Lab investigations done by Kobayashi and co-workers (2017) [85] and Mehrabadi and co-workers (2020) [84] show almost similar outcome in which the probiotic consisting of Bifidobacterium breve strain A1 and Bifidobacterium infantis decreases Aβ deposition, IL-1β, and α-TNF and increase SOD level in the brain hippocampus of the Aβ-induced AD mice.
